Online Justice, LLC is committed to the promotion of restorative measures in response to crime or offenses through a process known as a "Community Group Conference" and to supporting offenders as they plan to reenter the community upon their release from correctional institutions.

Online Justice, LLC was developed to support a virtual meeting space for these conferences to take place with victims, offenders, community members, employers, drug and alcohol counselors, mental healh professionals, parole officers, social services and others in an effort to repair the harm caused by the offense to the greatest extent possible or to aid in the reentry planning for offenders when face to face meetings are not possible.
For more specifics on each type of conferencing please see below:

Communtiy Group Conference (Offense Resolution)

In order for this process to work effectively, it needs to be voluntary with at an understanding by the offender that the case can be referred back for judicial review at any time. Secondly, the offender must initially accept a "willingness" to be held accountable for the harms that resulted from their actions to the victims, community members and to themselves.

Those who have been directly affected by the wrongdoing are central to the resolution of the offense. Through this process, victim's fear of re-victimization often diminishes, lower recidivism rates often occur and community members report feeling safer and more connected to each other and more supportive of the judicial system.

Who can attend?

*   Victim(s) and those who offer support
*   Community Members affected by the offense
*   Offender and those who support them in this process

The 3 Steps:

  • Step 1 - Offender tells what he/she did and why
  • Step 2 - Victim(s) and other participants tell how they were affected by  the offender's behavior
  • Step 3 - Together, participants create a plan for how to repair the harm to the greatest extent possible.

Online Justice, LLC monitors the plan and sends certificates of completion to all stakeholders including the referring agency/court/college or university.
